The BIG Core Objectives:

  1. To catalyse and fund corporate venturing and innovation within Malaysia’s corporate sector.​ We catalyse and 
    fund corporate venturing and innovation within Malaysia’s corporate sector.​

  2. To catalyse long-term change for corporate innovation in large companies through encouraging the piloting of
    more agile practices and governance approaches that can ultimately benefit the broader business as a
    whole, with top management buy-in.​​​​​​​​​​​​​

  3. To provide matching grants to catalyse innovation projects that would directly benefit the company’s
    core business.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

  4. To provide market access for startups and their proven and commercially ready solutions to large customers

To strengthen network resilience and support more efficient management of fibre infrastructure at scale, TM is exploring innovative, data-driven solutions that can enhance network intelligence through predictive analytics, early fault detection and proactive monitoring.

Problem Statement: Aerospace CNC machining in Malaysia relies heavily on manual prove-outs, disconnected digital tools, and conservative machining parameters, leading to higher cost, increased risk, and slower innovation.
 

Sime UMW aims to develop an Advanced Closed-Loop Digital Manufacturing System which integrates CNC verification, machine simulation, machining optimisation, and live machine connectivity to enable first-time-right machining and continuous learning from real machine data.
